Ketaki Sangameshwara Swamy Jathara

February 12 @ 5:30 am - 9:30 pm

The Ketaki Sangameshwara Swamy Temple at Jharasangam is one of the oldest and most revered Shiva temples in Telangana. Popularly known as Dakshina Kashi (Southern Kashi), the temple is famous for its sacred underground spring (Jhari), unique architecture, and historical significance. Devotees believe that worshipping Lord Sangameshwara here brings peace, prosperity, good health, and spiritual blessings.

During the Jathara, thousands of devotees participate in special abhishekams, Rudrabhishekam, Maha Shivaratri celebrations, temple processions, cultural performances, bhajans, and annadanam (free community meals). The temple is beautifully decorated with flowers and lights, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere. Pilgrims also take a holy bath in the sacred waters before offering prayers to Lord Shiva.

The festival is not only a religious celebration but also an important cultural event that showcases the rich traditions and heritage of Sangareddy district. It strengthens community harmony and preserves the region’s ancient customs while drawing visitors from across South India.
